Sharp immediately signs licensing agreement with Daimler right after winning a patent case

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s Sharp Corp stated on Wednesday that it had signed a licensing agreement with the German automaker Daimler after it settled a patent infringement case against the German company over in-car communications technology.

The Japanese company won last month the patent lawsuit in a German court ruling, which allowed Sharp to impose a strict sales ban against Daimler under certain circumstances.
