Coursera is preparing to be launched on the IPO trading market in 2021, which will give it a market value of about $5 billion. To be put up individually without guarantors, and the official representative of the company did not comment on the matter.
Online learning is booming as people move to other jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic. In a similar vein, Udemy startup said it had an estimated valuation of $3 billion and told investors it was looking to launch an IPO next year.
According to Coursera, founded by Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng, the platform works with more than 200 universities as well as other educational institutions to offer courses, certificates, and academic degree programs, and it raised $130 million in July and was valued at $2.6 billion at the time several institutions, including: Kleiner Perkins – New Enterprise Associates – Learn Capital.
