Audi CEO: Despite the strong performance in the third quarter of 2020, I expect sales to decline

FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Audi, a German automobile manufacturer affiliated with the Volkswagen Group, expects the sales to decrease in 2020 despite the strong performance in July, August and September, Automobilwoche quoted division chief Markus Duesmann on Sunday as saying.

We won’t be able to recover from the huge losses in April and May worldwide, even though the distributors are doing a really good job” said Duesmann. September was the best month of the year for Audi’s global operations.

He also adds, “Audi market in China is showing good consistency despite the crisis, and I think it will eventually show a slight increase in sales in 2020“.
